The competition finally begun, but unfortunally the current gamerules, or lack of it, makes it possible for players to "cheat.
I'm hoping "big brother" sees this and takes action.
Meanwhile nokiapro is signing of for now. Good hunting guys! :-)

Why do I want to "buy" a mission (simple) trophy, when they are all the same?

Hey man, here are some tips:
You can create missions all over the world. Know anyone with a GPS phone? Create a mission around his or her block, call them up and tell them to go to www.gpsmission.com from their mobile. That will get their attention ;-)
Go down to where they sell mobile phones and tell the sales people about GPS Mission and your mission. Talk to someone who just bought a GPS phone. Help them install GPS Mission and get online.
If you do this, and get others to try out your missions, I think it's important to make sure your missions are short, easy and fun. If you can, try out all your missions after creating one. That way you can adjust it and see if it's playable.
Read the "Mission designer HOW TO" to get you started.

Remember, the sky is not the limit, my fried ;-)
Have fun out there and try to catch me if you can!!
PS: You'll NEVER catch me :-P

My guess is that your country has not yet gotten it's own country-trophy. I think GPS Mission are prioritizing countries that have the most activity. I live in Norway so I'm happy ;-)

I tested one of my missions, "Hællæwood". It lasted for about 25 min, and my Nokia N82 moved a little over 500 kb.
This is no problem for me cause I have a fixed dataplan, but I'm a bit worried that this amount of data can influence how often players play. Players without a fixed dataplan from their operator should check their datalog when playing.
In my country, 1 mb can cost you up to 20 NOK (about 4 USD/ 2.5 EUR)

I see this brilliant game is spreading across the planet, but as a player myself, it breaks my hart everytime I see a mission without a mission photo. Come on people! You know you can do better!
Now that "big brother" has fixed the gold-award for someone playing a mission you've created, there's no excuse for not adding photos or illustations to your missions :-)
Advertice your "hard work" ;-)
When I create missions I make sure you'll find a related photo on the mission, every waypoint and the riddles!

After your latest upgrade I'm now able to get the Norwegian trophy. Good job guys!
Any chance you'll open up for players (or just me) creating their own trophies, using some kind of "trophy creator"? ;-)

I may be one of the most active player in the game, but you're not getting me in a f.. boat. You haven't even used illustrations or photos on your waypoints. Sorry dude! ;-)

I've logged mb/mission on my Nokia N82 and so far it looks like it's moving about 300-500 kb per session, depending if you're sharing Waymarks and if the mission uses photos to spice up the checkpoint or riddle.

The Mission Designer stops you if you put on to much.

After testing out my own mission and putting out waymarks I quickly saw that having some distance between checkpoints was important, since you aren't able to zoom in on your phone. Put a lot of checkpoints and gold close to eachother, it's harder to see where you're going.
I want to delete some of my own waymarks, but there is no such option in the mission creator.
By the way.. When I add options like gold and waymarks to a mission, why does make a sound when I move it around, and why does it rotate?
One more question (for now ;-)
Can you please add private message to this forum? I have some questions for ment for some users, not all. I hope this is in your beta roadmap.

What factor decides what kind a trophy you can "buy" after finnishing a mission?

Exellent! The gloves are off!
How about to adding local sharing of the client + register option? Is this in your roadmap?

Same bug here people. I've tried to download client via a number of supported Nokia devices.
My guess is this is a another beta-bug. To bad it stopes new users from starting playing on-the-fly.
I've not yet gotten the "forbidden" message on my computer.
My solution:
I've downloaded the client to my memory card, and evertime I get people to sign up though their phones, I just send the client via bluetooth ;-)

No gold is awarded to me when users are playing missions I've created.
Only reason I mention this is because you say in your FAQ: "But don't forget: Creating missions will get you gold also when people start playing your missions."
