I've just build a beta-version of GPS-Mission that will run on any Windows Mobile Device with a display resolution greater than 240x320.
So if you own a Windows Mobile device and want to beta-test the new version, just send me a PM with your Device Name and I will send you the client for testing.
Have fun,
Cem

Hi johndango,
thanks for your bug-report.
I assume the application is hanging while displaying "Your device is trying to locate you. Please wait."
I have just send you a test-build per mail. Please verify if the problem still persists.
Also it would be helpful to get the status of the "GPS Status Indicator". Is it yellow or red colored? Does it change the color after some time (up to 5 minutes)?
Regards,
Cem

Yes, there was a problem sending some special characters from the client.
This will be fixed on the next windows-client release.

Hi Sabcat,
it seems that there is a communication problem between your client and the server.
Please uninstall your client and install the newest Client from http://gpsmission.com/jsp/gps-mission/downloads.jsp.
Further it would be helpfull to know your Telecommunication provider, since some of their proxies may truncate the communication.

Hi birdheh,
we had some problems on older versions of the client, where the client hangs during gps-initialization on the login-screen.
But on your phone it seems, that the close-button of the keyboard is not available. Can you provide a screen shot (closed and opened keyboard) for me to further investigate this problem.

Hi xxxen,
we're sorry, but currently GPSMission only supports QVGA (320x240) and VGA (480x640) Resolution.
Further resolution support is planned for future releases.

Hi Marko,
we're sorry, but we had a major server outage yesterday taking the whole production system offline.
Surely you understand that during the beta-phase there are still some issues, but we're doing our best to fix these problems as soon as we get aware of them.
We apologize for any inconvenience you had and hope that you keep enjoying GPS-Mission.
Best regards
the GPS-Mission Team

Yes thats correct. After restarting the program, you have to confirm your credentials. This is for example if you wish to use another account. Nevertheless, the user credentials are normaly not deleted. This happens only if the server responds that the credentials are wrong during authentication.
But this seems to be a bug that is related to network problems. We are working on it already.
Please exucse the inconvenience caused.

What happens when you click the Purchase-Button?

This comes because HTC has named two devices similarly.
First the HTC Touch, which has a QVGA-Display build-in and second the HTC Touch Diamond with a VGA Display.
But you're right, this could be capable of being misunderstood. We will change this on the next update.

No, the Gold will re-spawn again, if there is no mission nearby.

Hi,
usually the client tries to reconnect after it loses the connection. Based on your network coverage this could take some time, since the client has to re-login on the server.
The Client will also shut himself down after 2 Minutes of inactivity to save costs and battery.
There will be an configuration option in later releases.
I've also checked the problem with the Login-Button.
There should be nothing preventing you clicking the Login Button. But maybe some other application on your phone captures the focus. So you have to tap the screen to recapture it. Do you have to click on the password-box or does it also work if you click anywhere else on the screen?
You also meant that the client looses the login credentials after a disconnect. Do u have to restart the client or does the login-window just popup and asks for the credentials?

Hi nenadb,
Currently we only support 240x320 and 480x640.
But 320x240 is on our roadmap and will be supported on a future release.
